Rulin Yu began her Master's Degree in Piano Performance at Longy School of Music of Bard College in 2023. Originally trained on the piano, over the past five years Ms. Yu has branched out and began to study both organ and harpsichord, as electives.  With nearly a decade of teaching experience, while at times engaging in advanced study herself, Ms. Yu has now begun to not only teach basic piano lessons for new learners, but also to work with more accelerated students.

Prior to her recent time in the United States, Ms. Yu served as a member of the piano faculty at the Hunan Institute of Traffic Engineering (a private university in China) for four years.

Ms. Yu, frequently encourages her students to participate in music festivals and events, some of whom have achieved outstanding awards. Ms. Yu and a few of her students once participated together in the Steinway 100th Anniversary Charity Concert, in 2018.

Adding to her recent accolades, Ms. Yu actively participated in the 2023 Quad State Convention. Ms. Yu is also a member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association).

Ms. Yu is an exceptional teacher, dedicated toward her students and helping them to develop their skills and find their own way to their music.  Paramount is making sure that everyone enjoys unlocking their musical potential.
