Poh Hock has been playing the guitar for over 10 years. He first started teaching classical and electric guitar in 2007 at a Yamaha Music School in Malaysia. As a musician, Poh Hock started playing the organ at the age of 6, and developed an interest towards the guitar a few years later and hasn't looked back since. As a young musician, his main influences were Metallica, Megadeth, or any shred guys from the 80s.

Poh Hock moved to Boston in 2011 and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Performance and has diversified his playing style since then. He currently plays in a Progressive Rock band called Native Construct, which has toured with noted acts such as Between the Buried and Me and Enslaved, and was also nominated for Billboard's Hard Music Albums chart at #56 and New Artist chart at #85.
