Naoko Headshot

Ms.  Fukaya earned her Master of Music degree in piano performance from the Longy School of Music (Cambridge, MA) in 2010, and added her Graduate performance diploma in saxophone performance from Longy in 2012.

During her time as a graduate student, Ms. Fukaya also added organ performance to her repertoire.   Prior to that, Ms. Fukaya attended Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo, Japan, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in saxophone performance (2006).

A unique musician, Ms. Fukaya began her study of piano at four years of age and that of the saxophone at twelve.  After arriving in the United States, she began to share her love of music through piano and saxophone instruction for both children and adults.  She now has amassed over fifteen years of professional teaching experience with multiple schools in the Boston Area.

Ms. Fukaya hopes to promote more local interest in music and create a fun environment in which students may discover the joy of music performance.  In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and cheering for the Boston Red Sox and Bruins.

Ms. Fukaya is fluent in Japanese and English.
